How to use: API request builder

  1. Choose the method and type the full URL; add parameters and headers if needed.
  2. If the API requires it, choose authentication and write the body (JSON, text or form).
  3. Press “Send request” and review the status, time and response; copy the cURL or fetch code.

What it accepts and what you get

Input
An http(s) URL, up to 30 parameters and 30 headers and a body of up to 1 MB.
Output
Status, time, size, headers and body of the response (formatted JSON), plus the equivalent cURL and fetch.
Where your data is processed
Your data is processed in your browser and is not sent to our servers.

Limitations and notes

  • The request leaves your browser straight for the URL: there is no proxy. That is why only APIs that allow CORS from this site work; otherwise you will see the network message.
  • No cookies are sent and the browser ignores headers such as Cookie, Origin or User-Agent (you are told).
  • Any token or password you type travels only to the URL given and appears in the copied cURL: do not share it.
  • The response is cut at 1 MB and the request at 30 seconds.

Frequently asked questions

Why does it say the request could not be completed?

Most likely the API does not allow CORS from other websites. Try the same request with cURL in your terminal, or use an API that allows it.
