How to use: Find and replace text

Limitations and notes

  • Regular expressions run with a time limit so a slow pattern cannot freeze the page.
  • With more than 1,000 regex matches nothing is replaced, so the text is never left half-changed.

Can I use groups?

Yes: in regular-expression mode the replacement supports $1, $& and $<name>.
