PDF to Word (text)
Extract the text of a text-based PDF and build an editable DOCX. Layout, columns and images are not kept. Runs in your browser.
How to use: PDF to Word (text)
- Upload a PDF with selectable text.
- Press “Create DOCX”: the text is grouped into paragraphs and likely headings.
- Download the .docx and review it in your word processor.
What it accepts and what you get
- Input
- One PDF up to 25 MB with a text layer.
- Output
- An editable Word document (.docx) with the PDF's text.
- Where your data is processed
- Your data is processed in your browser and is not sent to our servers.
Limitations and notes
- The layout is not reproduced: columns, tables, images, fonts and positions are lost.
- Scanned PDFs have no text: without OCR there is nothing to extract, and you are told.
Frequently asked questions
Why does it not look like the PDF?
Because this version extracts and reflows the text in your browser. A layout-faithful conversion would need a server-side layout engine, which is not offered.
