Remove duplicates from a list

Paste your list, one entry per line, and get the same list with only the first occurrence of each line plus the number of duplicates removed. Handy for emails, names, codes or keywords.

Good to know

  • The original order is kept; the first occurrence of each line stays.
  • You can choose whether to match case, and ignore extra spaces.
  • You can keep empty lines: they are then not counted as duplicates of each other.

Is the order of my list kept?

Yes. The first occurrence of each line stays in its original position and only later repeats are removed.

Is it case sensitive?

It is an option: you can treat “Ana” and “ana” as different lines or as the same one, depending on what you need.
