Output
An MP3 (96–320 kbps) or 16-bit WAV file at 44.1 kHz, with a player to check it before you download.
Where your data is processed
Your data is processed in your browser and is not sent to our servers.

Limitations and notes

  • Everything happens in your browser; the file is not uploaded.
  • Output is MP3 or WAV only: it does not produce OGG or M4A.
  • It is resampled to 44.1 kHz and audio with more than two channels is mixed to mono.
  • Converting an MP3 to MP3 re-compresses and loses quality; use WAV to keep it.
  • The audio is decoded whole in memory: very long files can be slow on phones.

Frequently asked questions

Why will my file not open?

It depends on the browser: if it does not include the codec (for example some M4A or unusual formats) it cannot read it. Try another browser or format.
