Video to audio
Extract the audio track of a video and save it as MP3 or WAV in your browser, without uploading the video. Depends on your browser's codecs.
How to use: Video to audio
- Choose a video (MP4, WebM, MOV…).
- Pick MP3 or WAV and, if you like, a section of the video.
- Press “Convert”, listen to the audio and download it.
What it accepts and what you get
- Input
- A video of up to 200 MB whose audio track your browser can decode; the audio cannot exceed 60 minutes.
- Output
- An MP3 (96–320 kbps) or WAV at 44.1 kHz with the video's sound.
- Where your data is processed
- Your data is processed in your browser and is not sent to our servers.
Limitations and notes
- The video is not uploaded: it is read in your browser and only the audio is used.
- If the video has no sound or its codec is not in your browser you will see a message; try another browser (Chrome and Edge read more codecs).
- It is always re-encoded; the original audio is not copied unchanged.
- The whole video is loaded into memory, so large files may fail on phones.
