How to use: Google position checker

  1. Enter your domain, the search you care about, the country, language and device.

  3. Review the comparison with the first 3 pages, apply the ideas in priority order and download the PDF report.

What it accepts and what you get

Input
A domain (for example example.com) and a search of 2 to 100 characters.
Output
Your position, the first 10 results, a comparison with the first 3 pages (title, H1, meta description, text, server speed, structured data) and ideas sorted by priority.
Where your data is processed
The domain and the search you enter are sent to the TodoToolsOnline server and from there to an external Google data service. The server then downloads the public HTML of your page and of the first 3 to compare them. No results are stored.

Limitations and notes

  • The position is a snapshot and changes with country, language, device and the person searching.
  • Results come from an external Google data service; there is a limit of checks per day and visitor.
  • The ideas are based on measured differences; they do not guarantee any position.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the Google results come from?

From an external Google data service. TodoToolsOnline is not affiliated with Google and the position is a snapshot.

Why is my position different from what I see on Google?

Google personalises results by country, language, device, history and location. Here the search uses the country, language and device you choose, signed out.

Can I check my position as many times as I want?

There is a limit of checks per day and visitor so the tool can stay free. Repeating the same check within 24 hours does not use a new one.

Do the ideas guarantee that I will move up?

No: they are based on measured differences with the first pages and nobody can guarantee a position on Google.

When to use it

  • When you want to know where your domain appears for a specific search.
  • To see how your pages differ from the ones ranking first.

Examples

A domain and a search
Enter your domain, the search, country, language and device, and see your position among the first 20 results.
Compare with the top three
Review title, H1, meta description, text, server speed and structured data against the first three readable pages.

Common mistakes

  • Taking the position as fixed: it is a snapshot that changes with country, language, device and person.
  • Expecting the ideas to secure a position: they are based on measured differences and guarantee nothing.
  • Spending the daily checks on the same search: there is a limit per day and visitor.
