How to use: QR code reader

  1. Upload an image with a QR code or press “Start” to use the camera.
  2. Grant camera permission only if you use it; it turns off after a read or when you stop.
  3. Review the content and, if it is a link, decide yourself whether to open it.

What it accepts and what you get

Input
Images up to 15 MB or the device camera.
Output
The code's text, with warnings if a link looks suspicious.
Where your data is processed
Your data is processed in your browser and is not sent to our servers.

Limitations and notes

  • Nothing opens automatically; javascript:, data: or file: links are shown as inert text.
  • The camera needs HTTPS and your permission; otherwise you can upload a photo.
